In Santa Fe, where Black and Bi-Racial youth are often isolated in spaces, the need for programs that nurture their unique identities and experiences is wanted and needed. Sista Circle and Bond of Brothers provide a crucial support system for Black girls and boys, offering them a space to heal, express themselves, and connect with friends and mentors who truly understand their cultural heritage. These camps are vital in breaking down the barriers of loneliness, self-doubt, and invisibility that many Black youth can face. By fostering a sense of belonging and community, both programs offer young people the tools to navigate the challenges they encounter while empowering them to shape their futures with pride and confidence. These camps are not just programs; they are essential acts of liberation for Black youth in Santa Fe.

Bond of Brothers is a summer camp designed by and for Black adolescent boys and masculine-identified youth in Santa Fe. This one-week program offers workshops in creativity, arts, writing, play, African drumming, rafting, and more. Mentored by Black male leaders, participants also engage in discussions on mental health awareness and redefine notions of Black masculinity. Bond of Brothers fosters friendships, personal growth, and a $250 stipend of appreciation!
