Vital Spaces is looking for a Program Manager to run Unhoused Art!

Job Title: Program Manager – Unhoused Art (Part-Time)
Compensation: $25/hour
Hours: Approximately 5+ hours per week

Unhoused Art is a transformative program that empowers individuals experiencing homelessness by providing opportunities to create and sell art. Through arts healing workshops, exhibitions, and local markets, the program fosters purpose, creativity, and community connection.

Position Overview
Vital Spaces is seeking a dedicated and organized Program Manager to oversee the coordination and administration of the Unhoused Art program. This role involves scheduling workshops, managing communication with artists and facilitators, tracking program data, and ensuring the smooth operation of events and sales. The ideal candidate is passionate about the arts, social impact, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities
-Program Coordination & Scheduling
-Organize and maintain the schedule of weekly workshops, gallery shows, and art markets.
-Communicate with facilitators, artists, and shelter partners to confirm workshop logistics.
-Ensure supplies are available and replenished as needed.

Artist & Facilitator Support
-Serve as the primary point of contact for participating artists and guest facilitators.
-Track attendance and participation in workshops.
-Assist artists in preparing their work for display and sale.

Event & Sales Management
-Coordinate art sales, ensuring artists receive 90% of proceeds and 10% supports the program.
-Work with galleries, markets, and pop-up events to showcase and sell artwork.
-Maintain accurate inventory of artwork and sales records.

Administrative & Reporting
-Track key program metrics, including attendance, sales, and supply usage.
-Maintain records of artist participation and artwork status.
-Provide brief weekly updates on program progress and needs.

Qualifications
-Strong organizational and time-management skills.
-Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
-Experience in arts programming, nonprofit work, or community engagement preferred.
-Comfortable working with unhoused individuals and a commitment to equity and inclusion.
-Ability to work independently and manage multiple moving parts with limited supervision.
